Back to Work!
After a very successful escape to the country, we are now calling for entries to our next Welsh Sale back in the capital, Cardiff on November 16th.
The first ever auction at the historic Gregynog Hall was the July 27th Welsh Sale - and what a corker it turned out to be. The market for Welsh art was exceptionally buoyant with bids coming in from all over the UK via our live platform, and from a great turn-out of bidders who did not want to miss the occasion in the famous Music Room.
An incredible 94% of lots found new homes, which any auctioneer will tell you is an exceptional statistic. 115 lots out of 320 offered sold above their top estimates - which is outstanding and there were seventy new successful bidders at the auction.
The statistics demonstrate the strength of the market, the ever-growing interest in Welsh art, and our increased reach in terms of bidder engagement. The Gregynog Welsh Sale was a triumph!
We now look forward to The Welsh Sale on November 16th. Entries are invited now and already the sale looks very impressive with spectacular paintings by some of Wales' favourite artists.
If you have potential entries for the next Welsh Sale and would like a free no obligation assessment, please contact brj@rjauctions.co.uk
Entries close at the start of October but the sooner we have entries the better.
